Zach’s work schedule has changed and I had forgotten how nice it is to have alone time to do things as you wish after the chaos of the day. The kids are in bed, the house is clean look’n good; the house is quiet. I decide how nice it would be to sit in bed, watch some TV and have some sips of beer whilst satisfying my need to blog, compute, surf, whatever…my computer’s open, I’m happy. As I delicately lean my beer on my leg, it spills. (Duh!)
In twists of panic, I save the laptop, the cell phone, the book, but not myself or the comforter. The computer slams to the ground, I trip out of bed with a soaked rear and socks, trying to keep my beer from rocking out even more. It wasn’t pretty.
Fixed, except for the smell. When Zach comes home, he’s sure to think I’ve had a “lush” party in our bed while he was working.
Thanks for letting me share. Now, I’m certain you all have already spent $50 at Target in your heads, which isn’t hard to do. This wasn’t an easy pick for me. There were good ideas, and I enjoyed each of them, thinking about each suggestion. I’m glad that everyone like the “Isn’t there a pill for that”. I thought it was a little funny myself. But, alas, I needed to make a decision.
Ellen’s suggestions of making a “clearer” tagline was very right. That’s what taglines are for, aren’t they; to give more definition to what you’re reading, or going to read – to explain the purpose of the blog. “Isn’t there a pill for that” doesn’t give any definition, just giggles…and a yearning for medication to make it all okay – which never happens of course (not all anyway).
Ones that stuck out for me:
Talon: Is there a pill for this (present tense of Isn’t there a pill for that)
TherExtras: My Medicine Dosed in Posts
Ellen: Me Plus Three is Insanity
Jannie Funster: Prescription-strength Mama

AND THE WINNER IS….
Vered: Managing the Chaos. ONLY, I’ve changed it a little to “A Life of Managed Chaos”.
Congratulations Vered, I will be contacting you for mailing information. AND, thank you to everyone for participating!
This was so much fun, I’m going to have to find something else to give-away. Anyone for a beer-soaked comforter?

Uuhhmm, I think beer-on-bed contradicts the management part of the chaos…just saying.
Thanks for the honorable mention.
Barbara
Yay! I don’t usually win anything. This is fun.
That was fun for sure!
Will you still be General Hysteria or changing your blog name completely to Managed Chaos? However it turns out, you’ll still be one of my fav. blobbers.
Beer, couldn’t drink it for a few years as I think I had developed an allergy. But I tried it agian a few months ago and the allergy is gone. Nice!
Hi! It was fun to help. Sorry about the comforter. We’ve had all sorts of spillage on ours, and one rather unfortunate poop incident when Max was a baby. Happily, it’s washable or it wouldn’t have survived.
Mia, I gave you an award over on my blog, go check it out!
I think that’s perfect – “A life of managed choas.” A great juxtapositon and a great choice. Can’t wait to see your new location!
Congrats Vered!
Sorry about your beer, Mia. I’m thinking Febreeze might not do the trick – lol! Why is it that good things like beer, wine, and chocolate stain so much?
(on a side note: what’s with the term “word verification” on here when none of the letters are words, though they come close. Mine, today, is ‘phonster’. Strange…)
I’m with you on saving the computer first!!
So when do we get to see this lovely new site???
YOUR NEW WORDPRESS SITE IS SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
Was it much trouble bringing stuff over from Blogger?
I am looking at it for the first time.
Mia, congrats. You must be so happy.
Jannie~ Thank you. (squeals). I’m so EXCITED to have this site. The button pushing to bring things over is as easy as pie, though your palms get a little sweaty about actually pressing that button. It’s all the other stuff that is time-consuming. So far, so worth it.
Thanks for coming over!!!!!!!!!!
