On this day of Remembrance, of lives lost, memories of lives celebrated, perseverance had and perseverance still progressing, I wonder what we’ve learned, how far we’ve come, do we remember all who lost their lives in such a horrific manner.
Do you remember where you were, how you were so profoundly impacted by this date’s events not so long ago. The pain, the horror, the hope you held in your heart during the moments when all our lives simultaneously changed forever…do you still hold this in your heart? In your soul?
Do you recall the overwhelming pull to your family, friends, to humanity? Have you forgotten?
Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful
for the evolution of your consciousness.

*Disclaimer: I am by no means saying that everyone who lost their lives on this day did so to further our consciousness. This is merely a profound quote that should keep us thinking, and remembering.

I do.
Not only do I remember, it’s something I’ll never forget. I wrote about such days on my blog today, too!
I think everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing the day that changed the world. Our town lost two residents and our nation lost it’s illusions of invulnerability.
Talon~ Me too.
The Casual Perfectionist~ I hope we all never forget.
Michele T.~ “our nation lost its illusions of invulnerability” I truly think that is a perfect quote for part of the result of that day. My fear is that too many will let the memory of this day fade.
Yep, I had just gotten my epidural when Jim came running back into the delivery room and said WE GOTTA TURN ON THE T.V. That was I think ,about 12:00 noon New York time. Kelly was born a little over 2 hours later.
I’d have to double check on the exact time Jim came back in, tho. I may be a bit foggy on that.
Jannie Funster~ I’m pretty certain that’s a day you aren’t going to forget. I’m thinking that must’ve been a strange mix of overwhelming fear and excitement. Good thing you got that epidural!
